New Investments for Grand-Pré National Historic Site _
Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament for West Nova on behalf of the Honorable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of the Environment and Minister Responsible for Parks Canada, announced $572,000 in new investments for Grand-Pré National Historic Site. These were part of the historic investments of $2.8 billion announced by the Prime Minister in November 2014 to support infrastructure improvements. These investments will benefit national parks and national historic sites throughout the country, including the park and sites under our field unit's management. We are very excited about this great news

Grand-Pré is open seven days a week GRAND PRÉ — Parks Canada, with the support of the Landscape of Grand Pre Society, has announced that the Grand-Pre National Historic Site will remain open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the end of the season on Oct. 14. Official Opening of the Landscape of Grand Pré View Park It was just a year ago that the landscape of Grand Pré was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, and on July 5, the new view park that looks over that landscape was opened. “The opening of this view park makes it possible to fully appreciate the beauty and rich history to this remarkable Landscape,” said Claude DeGrâce, co-chair of the Landscape of Grand Pré Society.
